CALORKOLT

A COLLECTION OF BLACK AND WHITE CARRARE MARBLE CANDLESTICKS. THE GOAL WAS TO WORK WITH SOME REMNANTS FROM THE MARBLE COMPANY PRODUCTION. THE IDEA WAS TO BRING SOME HEAT TO THIS COLD MATERIAL, THROUGH ITS FUNCTION ON THE ONE HAND AND THROUGH ITS TEXTURE ON THE OTHER HAND.

Valeurs

This collection of candlesticks draws inspiration from the shapes created in the 1960’s, and points out the curves and the right angles at the same time. I have been inspired by the NOGEL candlesticks that can be adjusted thanks to the assembly, and are made of steel. I have worked on the basis of two different ideas: the simplicity of the object and the possibility to insert several kinds of candles.
